Job summary

MRG Exams in Kechi, KS is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.

You will conduct in-person exams, review electronic records, document findings, and complete VA forms. No patient treatment or prescriptions are involved, with a manageable caseload and provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Optometry license.
• Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Experience with electronic medical records and secure portals.
• Ability to review medical records and assessment data.
• Non-treatment role focusing on assessments for VA determinations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Accurately document exam findings and complete VA forms.
• Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.
• Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.
