Job summary

Desort in Stockton, CA is seeking a full-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye health and vision services with modern diagnostic equipment and a supportive clinical team for an established patient population. You’ll perform exams, diagnose eye conditions, prescribe eyewear, and educate patients while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Active CA optometry license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
• Commitment to providing quality eye care and maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to evaluate vision and eye health.
• Identify and assess vision problems and potential eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses based on patient needs.
• Provide therapeutic treatments within state regulations.
• Identify signs of systemic health conditions during eye evaluations.
• Explain examination results and recommended treatments to patients.
• Educate patients on preventive eye care and proper eyewear use.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems.
