Position Summary

Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patient's health and well-being by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatment options (for example, red eye, LASIK surgery, cataract surgery) using evidence-based care guidelines. Delivers routine vision care, educates patients and store associates on eye health, including contact lens care, disease management, and safety factors. Recommends follow-up, consults with other health professionals, and provides referrals as needed. Follows up with patients and professionals regarding diagnostics and tests.

Evaluates patients' health conditions through comprehensive examinations, reviews medical histories, and performs diagnostic tests. Prescribes and fits vision aids, develops treatment plans, and provides additional vision treatments as necessary. Represents the company in vision care and patient engagement, maintains patient information, and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations. Performs administrative tasks, collaborates with stakeholders, and ensures high-quality customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school. Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
