General Function

The Associate Optometrist is a leader within the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols, maximizing results, and fostering growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. The Associate Optometrist also serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to consistently exceed expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure executional excellence and achieve results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
2. Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through KPI management and high accountability.
3. Promote the brand as the leading optical provider in the community.
4. Act as a successful stakeholder with other organizational leaders and the local market.
5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
6. Strive to exceed all KPI expectations.
7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by addressing visual lifestyle needs, making eyewear recommendations, explaining eye exams, and using visual aids to ensure understanding.
8. Encourage patients to schedule annual eye exams and ensure appointments are booked in TAB.
9. Conduct all services according to protocols and standards of care.
10. Provide accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
11. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
12. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
13. Maintain office systems and state licensure in good standing, fulfilling continuing education requirements.
14. Train and guide team members using company programs.
15. Provide timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to staff.
16. Create a positive workplace culture aligned with corporate values.
17. Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
18. Foster partnerships through leadership and involvement.
19. Maintain a professional and welcoming office appearance.
20. Ensure a safe environment for all staff and patients.
21. Lead by example.

Basic Qualifications

1. Doctor of Optometry degree.
2. Commitment to quality patient care.
3. Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
4. Strong communication and listening skills.
5. Problem-solving abilities.
6. Organizational skills.
