Job summary

Puget Sound Eye Care is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our established private practice serving patients in Bellevue and Seattle. We seek a general optometrist with a strong interest in pediatric care and specialty contact lens services.

The role involves three days weekly in Bellevue and additional time in Seattle with alternating Saturdays. We offer competitive compensation ($175,000–$225,000 annually), comprehensive benefits, vacation, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Current Washington State optometry license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Pediatric optometry experience or interest strongly preferred, particularly with children aged 2–5.
• Specialty contact lens experience or interest strongly preferred, including scleral, ortho-k, or other specialty lens fitting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and general optometric care for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat a broad range of visual and ocular conditions.
• Provide pediatric eye care, including examinations for young children and management of amblyopia, strabismus, and developmental vision concerns.
• Participate in myopia management and other specialty services.
• Provide contact lens evaluations, fittings, and ongoing care, with opportunities to work with specialty contact lenses.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans based on each patient's needs.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, eye health, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
• Work closely with technicians, optical staff, front desk, billing team, and other providers to deliver an excellent patient experience.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Work between Bellevue and Seattle offices based on scheduling and patient needs.
