Job summary

Puget Sound Eye Care in the Seattle area is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our established private practice serving Bellevue and Seattle.

We seek a strong general optometrist with interest in pediatric optometry (ages 2–5) or specialty contact lens care, and the ability to provide care for patients of all ages.

The role involves a 40-hour week across both locations, with three days in Bellevue and Saturdays, plus full administrative and clinical support to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Current Washington State optometry license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Ability to provide high-quality general optometric care to patients of all ages.
• Pediatric optometry experience or strong interest; working with children 2–5 years old preferred.
• Specialty contact lens experience (scleral, ortho-k, etc.) preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and comfortable with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and general optometric care for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat a broad range of visual and ocular conditions.
• Provide pediatric eye care, including examinations for young children (2–5 years) and management of amblyopia, strabismus, and developmental concerns.
• Participate in myopia management and other specialty services.
• Provide contact lens evaluations, fittings, and ongoing care, including specialty lenses.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, eye health, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other providers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Work between Bellevue and Seattle offices based on scheduling and patient needs.
