Job summary

FenixHire is recruiting a full-time Optometrist (OD) for a well-established eye care practice in Powell, Ohio. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose vision conditions, prescribe lenses, and provide therapeutic care where permitted by state rules, supported by modern diagnostic equipment and a skilled team.

We seek a Doctor of Optometry with an active Ohio license (or eligibility) and excellent patient communication.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active optometry license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient communication skills.
• Ability to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision conditions and eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and, where permitted by state regulations, provide therapeutic treatments.
• Identify potential signs of systemic health conditions through comprehensive eye evaluations.
• Educate patients on eye health, corrective lens options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
