FenixHire is seeking a full-time Optometrist (OD) to join a well-established eye care practice in Connecticut. The role emphasizes comprehensive eye care with strong clinical and diagnostic support, a stable schedule, and competitive compensation based on experience.

You will perform eye examinations, diagnose conditions, prescribe lenses, and contribute to patient education and prevention efforts while maintaining EMR records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active optometry license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient communication skills.
• Ability to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision conditions and eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and, where permitted by state regulations, provide therapeutic treatments.
• Identify potential signs of systemic health conditions through comprehensive eye evaluations.
• Educate patients on eye health, corrective lens options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
