Job summary

Shasta Cascade Heath Centers is seeking a full-time Optometrist to launch and lead its new in-house eye care service in rural Northern California. Open to grads and experienced pros, the role offers clinic leadership from day one and the chance to shape a new Optometry Department in a mission-driven health center.

You will perform eye exams, diagnose ocular conditions, prescribe glasses, and co-manage surgeries with ophthalmology, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• CA Optometry license required
• Doctor of Optometry degree required
• Commitment to underserved populations

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose ocular diseases
• Prescribe corrective lenses and co-manage surgical cases in collaboration with ophthalmology
• Lead the development and expansion of the Optometry Department within SCHC
