Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
• Active California Optometrist license.
• Strong diagnostic and patient-care skills.
• Interest in providing care to a rural and underserved patient population.
• Willingness to practice on-site in Crescent City, California.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision examinations.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular diseases and visual disorders.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and appropriate therapies.
• Evaluate and manage urgent eye complaints within the optometric scope of practice.
• Provide diabetic, glaucoma, and other medically necessary eye-care services as appropriate.
• Develop treatment and follow-up plans
• Coordinate referrals and co-management with ophthalmology and other specialists when necessary
• Collaborate with primary care and other clinical departments, as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Help develop efficient clinical workflows as Stallant expands its optometry services
