Job summary

Shasta Cascade Heath Centers is seeking a full-time Optometrist to launch and lead its new in-house eye care service in rural Northern California. Open to grads and experienced pros, the role offers clinic leadership from day one and the chance to shape a new Optometry Department in a mission-driven health center.

You will perform eye exams, diagnose ocular conditions, prescribe glasses, and co-manage surgeries with ophthalmology, with no weekends.

What you'll do:

As a full-time Optometrist at SCHC, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, and co-manage surgical cases in collaboration with ophthalmology. You will play a key role in leading and expanding the newly established Optometry Department, helping to shape its services and impact within the community. You'll also take part in provider meetings and support community outreach initiatives that align with SCHC's mission. This position offers flexible scheduling with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties, and a competitive salary range of $180,000-$200,000, depending on experience.
