Job summary

Warby Parker seeks a licensed Doctor of Optometry to join an affiliated independent optometry practice. You will deliver comprehensive eye exams, prescribe eyewear, and educate patients while collaborating with a store team to grow the eye exam business.

You will maintain records, stay compliant with licensure and CE, and serve as a clinical leader who promotes exceptional patient experiences and growth opportunities within a dynamic, modern exam environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree and be licensed to practice in the state.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations according to protocols.
• Partner with the store team to enhance patient experience and grow the eye exam business.
• Prescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions; diagnose and treat vision conditions.
• Share eye care knowledge and coach the team to support patients throughout their journey.
• Be a visible clinical presence and reinforce leadership in eye care within the community.
• Use digital exam lanes and EMR tools to streamline care and improve patient experience.
• Support key performance goals by delivering excellent clinical care.
• Collaborate with Store Leader to align on goals and strategies; build OD-store leader partnership.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with regulatory standards.
• Maintain state licensure and CE requirements.
• Educate and inspire patients and team members; expand skills beyond the exam lane.
• Pursue growth opportunities in business acumen, mentorship, and advanced clinical training.
