Job summary

Brenart Eye Clinic in Illinois is seeking a high-energy optometrist for full- or part-time work to deliver comprehensive general optometry in a fast-paced setting with an experienced team.

The ideal candidate holds a Doctor of Optometry, an Illinois license, residency or two years’ experience, strong patient communication, and a commitment to top-quality eye care, with on-call one night weekly and weekends every 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Illinois Optometrist License.
• Residency completion or at least two years of experience.
• Ability to translate optometry knowledge into high-quality patient care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and take/evaluate measurements with state-of-the-art technology.
• Diagnose ocular conditions and assist in treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and/or eye medications as appropriate.
• Explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients.
• Facilitate outstanding patient services during all interactions.
• Contribute to the patient care team on an on-call basis one night per week and weekends every 4-6 weeks.
