Job summary

Brenart Eye Clinic, the largest private optometry practice in Illinois, is seeking a high-energy optometrist for full or part-time work. You will perform comprehensive eye exams and collaborate with the optometry team to deliver high-quality patient care in a family-friendly suburb near Chicago.

Requirements include a Doctor of Optometry degree, an Illinois license, and completion of an Optometry residency or at least two years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and Valid Optometrist License for the State of Illinois.
• Completion of an Optometry Residency or at least Two Years experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of optometry principles and best practices for diagnosis and treatment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and take/evaluate measurements using state-of-the-art technology.
• Diagnose ocular conditions and assist in treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and/or eye medications as appropriate.
• Explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients.
• Facilitate outstanding patient services during all interactions.
• Contribute to the patient care team on an on-call basis one night per week and weekends every 4–6 weeks.
