Job summary

Newsom Eye in Tampa, FL seeks a patient-focused Optometrist to join our established ophthalmology practice. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular disease, and provide contact lens fittings.

You will co-manage cataract and refractive patients with our surgical team, educate patients on vision care, and maintain EMR documentation in a fast-paced setting. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
• Active Florida license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams for new and established patients.
• Diagnose and manage ocular disease.
• Provide contact lens fittings and follow-up care.
• Co-manage cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and cornea patients with our surgical team.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and vision care.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
