Job summary

Sun State Eye Care in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Optometrist to provide full-scope eye care for patients of all ages. You will diagnose, treat, and manage ocular conditions, prescribe eyewear and fit contacts, and deliver medical eye care within the Arizona scope of practice.

Utilize advanced diagnostic technology and collaborate with a team of technicians, opticians, and administrative staff to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a flexible schedule of 21–36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Arizona optometry license required.
• Experience with full-scope optometry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, macular degeneration, and infections.
• Prescribe eyewear and fit contact lenses.
• Deliver medical eye care within Arizona scope of practice.
• Utilize diagnostic tools (Optovue OCT, Fundus Camera, Oculus visual field, Neurolens, Zeiss iProfiler, topographer, auto-phoropter) for accurate evaluations.
• Educate patients, coordinate care with other providers, maintain EMRs, and collaborate with technicians, opticians, and staff.
• Build lasting patient relationships through compassionate, high-quality care on a 21- to 36-hour weekly schedule.
