Responsibilities include diagnosing refractive errors and eye diseases, prescribing glasses, contacts, medications, and offering treatments while promoting patient loyalty and eye health.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-term patient relationships with care and education.
• Perform verbal interview to assess health and ocular history.
• Instruct and advise patients on remediation options and coordinate with staff.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote Optometry and Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications.
• Suggest treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehab.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Evaluate for diseases like diabetes and refer as needed.
• Counsel on eye health and contact lens care.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and sales staff.
