Job summary

Eyes On Eyecare in Longview, WA is seeking a full-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye exams and full-scope optometry in a private-practice setting. You will build long-term patient relationships, educate on eye care, perform exams, prescribe eyewear and medications, and collaborate with opticians to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree required.
• Valid WA state license to practice optometry.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to establish long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Eye exams.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Perform verbal interview with patient prior to exam to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, and needs.
• Instruct, recommend and advise patients on remediation of ametropias and ocular/systemic disease.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Recommend or provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre/post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Communicate with opticians and salespeople for lens recommendations.

About The Optometrist Position

The optometrist will conduct eye exams and strive to practice to the full capacity of their license. We are seeking someone who will support practice growth by establishing patient relationships and educating patients on eye care. As a member on our team, putting patients first is essential to providing the best experience we can! Our ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, collaborative, focused, adaptable, accountable, and resilient. As an optometrist in our practice, you will be expected to:

• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
