Job summary

Henry Ford Health’s OptimEyes is seeking an Optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care, collaborate with ophthalmology leadership, and support practice growth within a dynamic team. The role focuses on patient-centered care, advanced eye health evaluations, and collaboration with broader HFHS ophthalmology initiatives.

You will participate in ongoing professional development, maintain licensure in Michigan, and contribute to high-quality vision care across our patient population.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the program from a school of Optometry.
• Previous direct patient care experience.
• Experience in primary care optometry, preferred.
• Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Michigan.
• Must be T.P.A./D.P.A. certified.
• Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in HFHS’ Customer Service Policy

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary eye care including ocular health evaluations, refractive services, and contact lens prescriptions and management.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic eye diseases with evidence-based medical care.
• Provide specialty eye care services such as medically necessary contact lens fitting and dry eye management.
• Mentor and support ancillary staff development and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure seamless delivery of eye care across patient populations
