AEG Vision is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular health within Acuity Eyecare Group. You will build lasting patient relationships through education, care, and clear communication of treatment options.

The role involves prescribing eyewear, contact lenses, medications, and coordinating with staff for optimal lens choices and eye care services. On-site full-time position in Utah, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Build long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Conduct verbal patient interviews to gather health, ocular history, and needs.
• Advise patients on options for remediation of refractive errors and ocular conditions.
• Promote patient loyalty and educate on eye care and Acuity Eyecare values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Suggest treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre- and postoperative eye care for surgeries and follow-ups.
• Assess systemic health (e.g., diabetes) and refer when needed.
• Counsel on eye health and contact lens hygiene and maintenance.
• Communicate lens choices and coatings clearly to staff.
