Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a well-rounded optometrist to join their team in a fulfilling full-time role in Bakersfield, California. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of California's largest eye care practices and contribute to its mission of improving patients' well-being.

As a full-time optometrist, you will manage ocular diseases and work with advanced technology to provide high-quality care to 20–25 patients daily.

Qualifications

• CA Board Certified or eligible.
• Preferred Medical Optometry specialty.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocular diseases at a level comfortable for you and provide appropriate treatment.
• Treat corneal ulcers and uveitis, address red eye conditions, and diagnose diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.
• See 20–25 patients per day using advanced technology including tonometer, phoropter, auto refractor, Snellen chart, retinal camera, ophthalmoscope, OCT, and digital retinal imaging.

What you'll do:

As a full-time optometrist, you will manage ocular diseases at a comfortable level for you, such as treating corneal ulcers and uveitis, addressing red eye conditions, diagnosing diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, removing foreign bodies, and identifying macular diseases, retinal holes, and retinal detachments. On a typical day, you can expect to see 20 to 25 patients, all enabled by advanced technology, including a tonometer, phoropter, auto refractor, Snellen chart, retinal camera, ophthalmoscope, OCT scans, and digital retinal imaging.
