Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking an Optometrist to provide refractions and eyeglass fittings for military service members. The role primarily covers weekends with occasional weekdays and will operate from fixed clinics, mobile units, or telemedicine as needed.

Active state licensure is required, and experience with military or veteran populations is preferred. Join a system focused on health readiness, supporting US Army Reserve, National Guard, Navy Reserve, and other branches.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active and unrestricted optometry license in the state.
• Weekend availability and willingness for occasional weekdays.
• Experience servicing military populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform refractions and eyeglass fittings with equipment provided by DOCS Health.
• Provide eye care and treatment to military service members as assigned.

Attention all Optometrists we are calling on you to work with us providing refractions and eyeglass fittings and treatment to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of ME on an "as needed basis".

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include performing refractions and eyeglass fittings with equipment provided by DOCS Health.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted license/certification in the state
• Available for weekends and occasional weekdays
• Passionate, friendly, and caring
• Must have weekend availability
• Experience working with military - preferred
