Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking a licensed optometrist to provide refractions and eyeglass fittings for military service members. This role emphasizes service to reserve and active duty personnel on weekends, with occasional weekday shifts as needed in Maine.

You will work with DOCS Health equipment and contribute to health readiness by delivering quality eye care in a fixed-clinic/mobile deployment setting.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted optometrist license in the state where practice occurs.
• Weekend availability with occasional weekday shifts.
• Experience working with military personnel is preferred.
• Passionate, friendly, and caring approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform refractions and eyeglass fittings.

Attention all Optometrists we are calling on you to work with us providing refractions and eyeglass fittings and treatment to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of ME on an "as needed basis".

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include performing refractions and eyeglass fittings with equipment provided by DOCS Health.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted license/certification in the state
• Available for weekends and occasional weekdays
• Passionate, friendly, and caring
• Must have weekend availability
• Experience working with military - preferred
