Job summary

Eyes in Plano, TX is expanding its patient-focused optometry team. We seek a compassionate Optometrist to perform full-scope medical optometry alongside ophthalmologists in a collaborative setting with modern clinics and state-of-the-art equipment.

This full-time role offers competitive compensation with bonuses based on performance and opportunities for part-time or per-diem arrangements. No evening or weekend hours required, making it ideal for professional growth in a dynamic Dallas–Fort

Qualifications

  • OD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Comfort with routine and medically-focused optometry work.
  • Experience managing glaucoma cases and monitoring patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine eye examinations for refractive errors.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical eye examinations and manage common conditions (DM, ARMD, Glaucoma).
  • Co-manage patients with ophthalmology and coordinate post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered eye care.

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Optometrist to join our established, fast-paced ophthalmology practice. This is an excellent opportunity to practice full-scope medical optometry alongside experienced ophthalmologists in a collaborative environment dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Position Details

Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Must be comfortable with routine and medically-focused optometry work
  • Medically manage and monitor patients with glaucoma
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ethical standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team is critical
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine eye examinations for refractive errors
  • Conduct comprehensive medical eye examinations, including evaluation and management of common eye conditions (DM, ARMD, Glaucoma, etc.)
  • Manage post-operative cataract patients in coordination with the surgeon
  • Co-manage patients with ophthalmology as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
