Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant

The optometric technician plays a vital role in maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, which are crucial for providing quality eye care. No optical experience or certification is required; training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment in the office and pretest rooms.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform patient testing before examinations.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient info, and consult with team members as needed.
• Maintain equipment properly.
