Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant

America's Best, part of National Vision — one of the largest optical retailers in the United States — is looking for an Optometric Technician to join our team. With over 1000 stores nationwide, we combine eyewear and eye care to provide excellent service at affordable prices.

This position is key to maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing prior to examinations. No optical experience or certification is required; training will be provided!

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment in the office and pretest room.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform testing before doctor examinations.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain equipment properly.
