The optometric technician plays a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, assisting with pre-screenings and tests, and supporting the optometrist to provide the best care. No optical experience or certification is required; training will be provided.

• Ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain a professional environment and appearance
• Understand ocular terminology and diseases
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients
• Complete paperwork and perform pre-exam testing
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings
• Perform exam pre-screening
• Review prescriptions and patient info, consult as needed
• Maintain equipment properly
