Position Overview

The optometric technician plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow by assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and tests prior to examinations. No optical experience or certification is required; training is provided.

Sundays Off! Yes, we're closed every Sunday!

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain a professional environment in the office and pretest rooms
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients
• Complete paperwork and perform testing before doctor examinations
• Promote visual field and retinal screenings
• Perform exam pre-screening
• Review prescriptions and patient info, and consult with team members as needed
• Maintain equipment properly
