Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will assist in preparing patients for exams with ophthalmologists, operate imaging and testing equipment, and help maintain a smooth clinical workflow.

Ideal candidates will have medical office or ophthalmic experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site role with a commitment to patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
• Operate diagnostic equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT) and support testing procedures
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
• Maintain clean examination equipment and workspace
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff and patients
• Perform general office duties as assigned by management
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused team environment
• Work hours may include weekends or extended schedules as needed
