Job summary

Nationwide Vision in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our optometrists by performing preliminary testing, facilitating patient flow, and helping prepare patients for exams. The role requires excellent communication with patients, doctors, and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You should have at least a high school diploma, medical office experience, and the ability to work a varied full-time schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• Background check required as per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances for patient visits.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment as directed.
