Job summary

Clear Vision Eye Centers – Pahrump is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support optometrists with patient care from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up. You’ll perform diagnostic tests, gather medical histories, and help educate patients on vision benefits.

You will also guide contact lens training, manage contact lens inventory, verify insurance, and schedule visits, while coordinating appointments and communications to keep patient flow smooth.

• 1+ year of customer service experience; optometric experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to educate patients.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist optometrists in delivering outstanding patient care, from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up
• Perform diagnostic tests, gather patient medical histories, and assist in educating patients about their vision benefits
• Guide patients in contact lens training, managing the contact lens sample inventory, insurance verification, and scheduling their next visit
• Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating appointments and managing office communications
• Work closely with your team to meet individual and collective goals for optimal patient care and satisfaction

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of experience in customer service (optometric experience preferred but not required!)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and connect with patients
• Strong organizational and time management abilities—you’ll be multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and providing support to other departments as needed
• Detail-focused and capable of documenting patient exams and procedures with accuracy
