Pay Class: Part Time
Pay: $9.95-$13.18 per hour

The Role:

The Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our exam practice, ensuring the best experience for every patient. This role involves knowledge of eye health, preliminary testing, optics, and managed vision care. The assistant guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records prior to testing
• Introduce patients to the OD and share important information
• Assist in transitioning patients from the exam to the sales floor, providing staff with necessary information to recommend products and services
• Support daily operational activities, including restocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to enhance patient experience
• Support store opening and closing procedures as needed

Qualifications:

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License
