Job summary

Logiqal in Princeton, NJ is seeking an Optomechanical Engineer to design and build the backbone of our quantum processors, translating lab prototypes into manufacturable hardware for full-scale quantum datacenters.

You will design and prototype precision optomechanics, modular breadboards, and large-scale infrastructure, working with researchers and engineers to meet criteria and timelines, then complete design, prototyping, construction, and validation.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CAD, FEA, 2D drawings and tolerancing, and DFM.
  • Basic familiarity with optics and hands-on construction and alignment.
  • No knowledge of quantum physics required; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype custom precision optomechanics, modular optical breadboards, and the large-scale mechanical infrastructure that integrates every component of the processor.
  • Collaborate with quantum computing researchers and optical engineers to identify components with design criteria and timelines, then complete the design, prototyping, construction, and validation.
