Job summary

Logiqal is seeking an Optical Systems Engineer in Princeton, NJ to design, build, and test manufacturable optical systems for quantum processors. You will work with physicists to validate performance and with software engineers to integrate hardware into the control stack, with production scaling toward a datacenter-scale system.

About the Company

About the Role

We are looking for an Optical Systems Engineer to design, build, and test manufacturable optical systems for quantum processors, which are the most crucial elements of our hardware roadmap. You will design, assemble, and test systems for laser beam delivery, complex optical pattern generation, and wide field of view microscopes and projection systems. You will work side-by-side with physicists to determine target specifications and validate the experimental performance against them, and with software engineers to integrate your systems into the control stack. After converging on successful prototypes, you will scale production of modular systems for a datacenter-scale quantum computer.

We’re looking for exceptional candidates at every career stage, from recent bachelor’s graduates to experienced researchers and engineers. No knowledge of quantum physics is required, though we’re happy to teach you.
