Job summary

Insight Global in San Jose, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client team in semiconductor equipment development. You will perform 3D modeling of parts and assemblies, generate drawings, and support DOE planning and execution.

You will contribute to design validation, prototype fabrication, and PLM data structuring in Advantest PLM, while communicating clearly with cross-functional teams using Teams, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and testing ecosystems.
• Hands-on with ATE testers, handlers, probers, SLT.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design support, including 3D modeling of parts and assemblies and generating drawings.
• Contribute to planning and execution of DOEs.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations covering design concepts, reviews and DOE.
• Support design validation and product qualification activities, including prototype fabrication and testing.
• Support product definition and structuring in the Advantest PLM system.
• Communicate effectively using Teams/SharePoint/Jira/Confluence/Webex.

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations covering design concepts, reviews and DOE.
• Support planning and implementation of design validation and product qualification activities, which may involve hands-on tasks, such as prototype fabrication and testing.
• Support product definition and structuring in the Advantest PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system
• Communicate effectively and timely, in an organized and structured fashion, using collaboration/communication tools like Teams/SharePoint/Jira/Confluence/Webex
