Teledyne FLIR Defense in Orlando, FL seeks a hands-on mechanical engineer to join the Surveillance Systems Division. You will work on high-performance imaging and laser systems, performing design, analysis, and testing of opto-mechanical assemblies with cross-site collaboration.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience, with familiarity in SolidWorks and geometric tolerancing. U.S. Citizen is required for program access.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience with design, test and/or analysis of precision mechanical parts.
• Experience with optical alignment tooling is preferred.
• Experience with optical/electro-optical systems is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and test of complex opto-mechanical mechanisms and optical systems.
• Support alignment of optical components and subsystems.
• Geometric tolerancing per ANSI/ASME Y14.5M.
• Define mechanical specifications and plan related to electro-optical system design and testing.
• Communicate across multi-site teams.
