Job summary

Optiver in Miami seeks an experienced SSO Floor Trader to lead our presence on U.S. options exchange trading floors, connecting electronic desks with floor brokers and exchange personnel to improve liquidity and execution.

You will make markets in equity, ETF, and index options, build relationships with floor brokers, monitor rules and fees, and ensure compliance while driving opportunities across venues. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years in options trading are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and markets.
• Advanced mathematics ability.
• Excellent communicator and team player.
• 3+ years in options trading or market making.

Responsibilities

• Make markets in eligible equity, ETF, and index options.
• Represent the firm across options exchanges; build relationships with floor brokers, DPMs/LMMs, and exchange officials.
• Track exchange rule changes, fees, and incentive programs.
• Partner with desk traders to optimize quoting and execution quality.
• Facilitate large or complex executions; monitor KPIs and market share across venues.
• Ensure compliance with exchange rules and regulatory requirements.
