Samtec, Inc. is offering an Optics Process Engineering Co-Op in Vista, CA. You will work with Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Process, Data and Software engineers to complete assigned projects supporting Samtec's FireFly and HALO optical transceiver lines.

The role requires pursuing a degree in engineering or related fields, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Part-time availability during the school year is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Process/Industrial Engineering; Physics; Data Science; or related field
• Freshman/Sophomore/Junior with demonstrated hobby, project, or internship experience in a related field
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Detail-oriented
• Adept at working with small/delicate objects
• Eager to gain new expertise and quick to pick up required skills

Responsabilités

• Complete assigned projects within the Optical Group
• Collaborate with engineers across electrical, mechanical, optical, process, data, and software
• Maintain customer focus and initiate/follow up on actions
• Learn basics of many disciplines and technologies as appropriate
