Job summary
Meadowlark Optics, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in optics and photonics to grow our customer base across research, industrial, and commercial markets. You will bridge advanced optical technologies with customer needs, providing technical guidance, application support, and solution-driven sales.
The ideal candidate is comfortable discussing optical design or system performance and building long-term customer relationships. Some travel is required as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field and strong optics background.
- Experience in technical sales or applications engineering.
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical sales resource for optics, photonics, lasers, imaging.
- Provide early-stage feasibility assessments and application guidance.
- Translate requirements into products or system solutions.
- Present and demonstrate optical components or photonic solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product mgmt, and manufacturing to tailor solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Manage opportunities from lead through close and provide post-sale support.
