Job summary

Inertia in Livermore, CA is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to scale laser component production and support the world’s largest laser project. You will partner with design and supplier teams to translate requirements into robust fabrication processes, bring up pilot lines, and drive production readiness for a large-scale fusion laser project.

The role emphasizes high-volume manufacturing, production quality control, yield analysis, and close collaboration with quality and supplier

Qualifications

• B.S. with 10 years of experience or M.S. with 7 years of experience.
• Experience with glass and ceramic fabrication processes a must.
• High volume manufacturing development experience a must.
• Experience with production quality control a must.

Responsibilities

• Engage internal design teams to consolidate all design requirements and document them for vendor engagement.
• Engage suppliers for feasibility, scale, and cost deep dives.
• Monitor pilot production bring up.
