Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience.
• Background in optics, photonics, digital imaging, microscopy, military optics, or defense systems.
• Experience in the North American defense market.
• Knowledge of DoD contracting, ITAR regulations, and export compliance.
• Strong relationship-building and strategic sales skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.

• Develop new business opportunities across North America within defense, optics, and related technical markets.
• Expand market presence for custom optics, precision optical components, and military vision systems.
• Build and manage relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Drive opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting through contract award.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to support long-term growth.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and international teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Salary: $80,000 base + commission
