Job summary

Eyes of the Marina Optometry in Marina del Rey, CA, seeks an experienced Optician / Optical Lab Technician for a full-time role. You will assist patients with premium eyewear, take precise measurements, and edge and finish lenses in our in-house lab, while delivering exceptional patient service.

The ideal candidate has optician experience and familiarity with lab finishing, pricing discussions, and eyewear fittings.

Qualifications

• Previous optician experience is required.
• Optical lab, lens-edging, or finishing experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of lens designs, materials, treatments, and coatings is essential.
• Accurate and confident with optical measurements.

Responsibilities

• Help patients select frames that complement their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Take accurate optical measurements, including PD, segment height, and OC height.
• Edge, mount, and finish prescription lenses in-house.
• Adjust, fit, and repair eyewear; explain pricing and vision-plan benefits clearly.
• Deliver completed eyewear and ensure proper vision, comfort, and fit.
