The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) seeks an experienced Health Tech (Optician) to support operations in VCS Optical Shops at Outpatient Clinics in the Atlanta, GA area. This position coordinates optical operations and serves as a key liaison between VCS eye clinic providers and prosthetics teams, helping deliver exceptional service to Veterans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year as an Optician or related optical support role.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience using optical equipment and performing measurements.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with frame selection, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Perform eyewear fittings and obtain accurate measurements with optical tools.
• Document patient data in CPRS and process eyewear orders and payments.
• Collaborate with eye clinics, prosthetics staff, and vendors to resolve issues.
