Job summary

Bridgeview Eye Partners in South Bend, IN seeks an eyewear sales associate to guide patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescriptions and lifestyle. You will explain lens options, educate on eyewear care, and ensure a seamless patient experience in a medical office.

You will also process orders, verify insurance, manage follow-ups, perform fittings and adjustments, and maintain merchandising to support patient flow and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses that align with their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
  • Clearly explain doctor recommendations and lens options, including features and benefits
  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
  • Accurately enter and manage spectacle orders
  • Verify insurance eligibility and calculate patient co-pays
  • Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
  • Notify patients when orders are ready and coordinate dispensing
  • Conduct follow-up outreach to ensure patient satisfaction and successful adaptation
  • Perform fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
  • Address and resolve patient concerns related to eyewear
  • Maintain accurate inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies
  • Create and maintain organized, visually appealing displays
  • Support efficient patient flow and communicate delays when necessary
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the practice
