Advocate Health's Aurora Vision Center – Two Rivers is seeking an Optician to join our team. This 30-hour/week role supports scheduling from 8am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced clinical setting within the Two Rivers location.

You will interpret prescriptions, assist patients in selecting eyewear, take optical measurements, and ensure accurate eyewear dispensing while maintaining patient records and inventory. Prior clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in an optician role that includes dispensing eyeglasses, knowledge of equipment, lenses and frames.

Responsabilités

• Interprets prescriptions and assists patients in selecting appropriate eyewear.
• Takes optical measurements and fits eyewear.
• Repairs, adjusts and dispenses prescription lenses and frames.
• Maintains patient records and assists in reports and deposits.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and knowledge for patient populations.
