Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Optician for the Vision Center at Store 1170 in Waukesha, WI. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a pay range of $22.90–$34.35 per hour. The position involves interpreting prescriptions, assisting patients in selecting eyewear, taking measurements, and ensuring quality fitting.

Qualifications include High School Graduate and at least 1 year in an optician role; WI licensure is not required for WI divisions. Benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of optician experience in dispensing eyewear.
• High School Graduate required.
• WI licensure not required for WI division.
• Strong patient communication and eyewear fitting skills.
• Knowledge of lenses, frames and basic eye care terminology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions and assist patients in selecting eyewear.
• Take optical measurements and ensure proper fit of eyewear.
• Inspect eyewear quality prior to dispensing to patients.
• Maintain patient records and assist with reports as needed.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate patient care and safety in the department.
