Job summary

Associated Eye Care is seeking an Optician to sell eyewear and contact lenses in a fast-paced retail setting. You will greet customers, educate on frame lines and lens options, dispense to prescription, and troubleshoot to meet high service standards.

You will process orders in our practice management system, coordinate with providers, and maintain displays and inventory while upholding warranty policies and daily operation guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of experience in a retail optical dispensary, optometry office or ophthalmology clinic preferred.
• 2-4 years of face-to-face customer service in a retail environment required.
• Current American Board of Opticianry Certification preferred or required within 8 months of employment.

• Maintain displays and keep up-to-date procedural manuals; participate in meetings.

This position assists optical customers in the purchase and/or maintenance of eyewear that fit the prescription and lifestyle needs of the customer. The optician delivers knowledge, experience and service excellence with the goal of exceeding expectations and creating loyal customers.Expected compensation between $21.99 - $26.39/hour.
