What You’ll Do as an Optician

As a Full‑Time Optician, you’ll be a trusted guide for our patients, helping them find eyewear solutions that fit their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. Your day‑to‑day work will include:

  • Assisting patients with frame and lens selection
  • Taking accurate measurements and performing fittings
  • Making adjustments and minor repairs to eyewear
  • Managing and maintaining eyewear inventory
  • Delivering a professional, welcoming experience from start to finish

Your schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings, to meet patient needs. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with a diverse patient population and build lasting relationships within your community.

Work Conditions

Eye Clinic of Wisconsin has eight locations. While you’ll be assigned a home clinic, travel to satellite locations is required. Hours vary based on clinic needs. This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and stair climbing.
