Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking a Transport and Facilities Technician to ensure reliability of network transport hubs, data centers, and facility infrastructure.

You will install, provision, maintain, and troubleshoot DWDM systems, dark fiber, batteries, generators, and power equipment while coordinating with NOC and cross-functional teams.

This role emphasizes safety, timely maintenance, and strong communication with customers and contractors to keep services running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of telecommunications facilities, network transport, fiber installation experience.
• Experience with DWDM transport systems and dark fiber troubleshooting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot transport hubs and network elements.
• Install, provision, and test fiber connections and DWDM equipment.
• Monitor power systems, generators, and alarm responses with NOC coordination.
• Interact with customers on installations, disconnects, and service issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for data center deployments.
