Job summary

Arista Networks seeks an Optical Transceiver Reliability and Qualification Engineer to lead reliability testing and qualification of our internally developed optical transceivers. You will partner closely with external vendors and internal engineering teams to drive reliability assessments and qualification execution.

You will establish qualification plans, oversee testing, perform failure analysis, and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on reliability, quality, or test engineering for optical components or transceivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability and qualification plans for optical transceivers from prototype to mass production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing vendors to oversee testing and data review at HQ.
• Lead failure analysis and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Define reliability test methods, environmental stress screening, and life-testing criteria based on industry standards (Telcordia, IEEE).
• Review test data, generate qualification reports, and present findings to leadership.
